Bio

Coach Williams has ten years of professional basketball playing experience as well as eight years of coaching experience. He was hired as an assistant coach for men's basketball at Gaston in 2023 and was later named the interim head coach. Prior to joining the athletics program at Gaston, he was the Associate Head Coach at Baton Rouge Community College and also held assistant and head coach positions at Parkview Baptist High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Williams played for the LSU Tigers in 2000 when they won the SEC Conference Championship and made it to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament. The team also made an appearance in the NIT tournament in 2002. He graduated from LSU with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology. Williams went on to play professional basketball for ten years in leagues in Europe and Australia where he earned several awards and accolades before returning home to Baton Rouge to begin his coaching career at his former high school.
