Bio

Steuerwald brings 17 years of college softball coaching experience and three summers of professional softball coaching experience.

A four-year baseball standout at Maranatha Baptist College who also played two years of football, he began his softball coaching career at Waterloo and Watertown high schools in Wisconsin before becoming a college assistant at Rockford College in 2007.

An assistant for National Professional Fastpitch (NPF) teams in Rockford and Chicago, Steuerwald was a head coach at Cuesta College of San Luis Obispo, Cal. and at Elon and was a Utah Valley and Syracuse assistant coach. At Chicago, Steuerwald coached legendary Olympic pitcher Jennie Finch and the hurler who has thrown the fastest pitch in women's softball history, Monica Abbott (77 mph).
