Kealy named to All-American softball team

Gaston College freshman Grace Kealy was named All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).

Kealy was an "At-Large third baseman" second team selection.

"We're excited to have Grace honored as the second All-American in program history," Rhinos head coach Mike Steuerwald said. "She was and will be a big piece of what we are building here and to have her honored with this recognition is very exciting for our program."

A freshman from Bloomington, Minn., and a 2023 Maranatha Christian Academy graduate, Kealy hit .398 with 17 home runs, 84 RBIs and 10 stolen bases for Gaston College this season.

The Rhinos went 47-7 overall and 14-2 in Region 10 in the regular season and received votes in the 2024 National Junior College Athletic Association poll for nine of the last 10 weeks.

Kealy becomes the second All-American in the program's three-year history; Brantleigh Parrott was a 2023 first team NFCA selection for utility/pitcher.
